Tag Danube Delta

The Danube Delta is Europe’s largest wetland and one of its most biodiverse regions. Designated as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, it hosts over 250 bird species across vast reedbeds, lakes, floodplains and willow forests. Beyond pelicans, the Delta is home to herons, egrets, pygmy cormorants, glossy ibises, spoonbills, white-tailed eagles, marsh harriers, kingfishers, bee-eaters, rollers, terns and countless migratory species. Its exceptional habitats make it one of Europe’s premier destinations for birdwatching and wildlife photography.
